Graph Lakehouse Deployment with Custom Settings Profile and Licensing

Overview and Use case​

This Custom Resource (CR) manifest defines a Graph Lakehouse database deployment tailored for specialized workloads requiring fine-tuned engine parameters. It demonstrates how to apply custom runtime settings directly through the operator while configuring the licensing layer for database activation.

Licensing Configuration​

The operator supports database licensing via the spec.db.licensing block. In this configuration, legacy CSI licensing is used:

  • licenseType: CSI: Selects the legacy CSI licensing mechanism.
  • csi.legacyLicense: Holds the activation license key string required to validate and run the Graph Lakehouse cluster.

Key Highlights​

  • Custom Settings Profile: Uses settingsProfile: "custom" to override standard profile defaults (such as standalone or anzo).
  • Granular Engine Configuration: Uses settingsConfContent to supply key-value configuration flags directly into settings.conf (e.g., controlling protocol support and tuning memory/spill thresholds).
  • CSI Legacy Licensing: Embeds license credentials within the CR spec for automated license propagation.
  • Dedicated DB Container Spec: Configures the anzograph-db container with the updated artifact image aartifacts.altair.com/graph-docker/anzograph-db:3.5.0.
